LICENSED · THE LEADERSHIP GAME BY MAXWELL

The game your leadership team didn’t know they needed.

A facilitated, card-based experience built by the John Maxwell organization and delivered by licensed facilitators like Naomi Zee. It puts your team in a room, removes the corporate armor, and reveals how they actually lead — not how they say they lead.

— WHAT IT IS

A leadership diagnostic disguised as a game.

The game mechanic does something no workshop can: it removes the rehearsed answers. When a card lands on you randomly, you can’t prepare. The game reveals the real leader — not the meeting-room version.

— HOW A SESSION WORKS

Four stages. One arc.

From the moment your team gathers to the moment the report lands.
01
STAGE

Setup

~15 min · before
Pre-session diagnostic + facilitator briefing. Naomi reviews context, confirms group composition, and prepares the scenario deck.
02
STAGE

The Play

4–8 hrs · core session
The game runs in three phases — Assess, Collaborate, Develop. Each has its own card type. Peer Cards are awarded throughout. The die keeps it random — nobody can dodge.
03
STAGE

The Debrief

45–60 min · post-game
Naomi facilitates the unpacking — what surfaced, what patterns emerged, what nobody wanted to say. The debrief is where the diagnostic data crystallizes into team-level insight.
04
STAGE

The Report

48 hr · written diagnostic
Within 48 hours, a written diagnostic lands in your inbox — what the game revealed about communication, defaults, trust, and the conversation your team has been avoiding. With recommendations.
— WHAT IT REVEALS

What you’ll see that you’ve never seen before.

01
LOUDEST REVEAL

Communication patterns

Who dominates the room. Who goes quiet. Who says what they think versus what they think people want to hear.
— YOU’LL SEE
“She never spoke first all morning.”
02
DEFAULT BEHAVIOR

Decisions under pressure

When a scenario hits with no prep time, leaders revert to defaults. Those defaults reveal more than any annual review.
— YOU’LL SEE
“Defer is his default.”
03
TRUST MAP

Trust architecture

The Peer Card system shows who the team actually trusts — not who holds the title. The points map the real informal leadership.
— YOU’LL SEE
“Sarah got 8 peer pts. Not her job title.”
04
THE ONE THING

The conversations nobody’s having

Every session surfaces issues the team has been avoiding. The game gives permission to name it. Naomi’s facilitation ensures it’s addressed.

— YOU’LL SEE
That conversation. Finally.”
— WHO IT’S FOR

Built for teams ready to be honest.

Five questions. If you nod to four of them, this is for you.

Are you a leadership team of 4–40+?

Are you in growth mode (15–100 employees) feeling culture strain?
Does your team perform individually but fail to converge as a unit?
Preparing for a strategic transition, merger, or leadership change?
Are you in HR/L&D looking for experiential development — not another binder full of slide decks?
— NOT FOR YOU IF
You want entertainment or a “fun afternoon” · confirmation (not diagnosis) · or your leaders won’t sit in the room and play.

— WHAT PEOPLE SAY

“The Leadership Game was the first time someone actually told us what was wrong — with data to back it up.”

— COMMON QUESTIONS

Questions buyers actually ask.

What's the difference between this and a personality assessment like DISC or MBTI?

Personality assessments tell you how people are wired individually. The Leadership Game shows you how they operate together — under pressure, in real time. It’s behavioral observation, not self-reporting. Many assessments focus on classification. The Leadership Game focuses on transformation. Instead of assigning labels and limiting potential, it creates conversations that reveal blind spots, strengthen relationships, increase self-awareness, and build greater unity across teams. The outcome isn’t a personality profile; it’s growth.

Does my team need to prepare anything beforehand?

Each participant must complete and submit a mandatory preliminary questionnaire at least 48 hours before the scheduled experience.

How does this differ from a team building activity?

Team building is designed to improve connection. The Leadership Game improves connection while simultaneously revealing the leadership, communication, and cultural dynamics influencing team performance.

What happens after the session?
Within 48 hours, Naomi sends a written diagnostic — patterns observed, conversations surfaced, recommendations. Optional follow-up coaching for individuals identified as needing 1-on-1 work.
— THE FIRST STEP

Your team is already telling you everything.
The Game makes it visible.

One session. Four to eight hours. A written diagnostic that shows you what no survey, offsite, or annual review has ever surfaced about how your leadership team actually operates.
